Through an extensive network of 43 schools, strategic partnerships, and pioneering programmes, the Adani Foundation aims to make quality learning accessible, aspirational, and inclusive for all. With its flagship initiatives, such as Project Utthan, which focusses on improving learning and academic outcomes, and Udaan, which encourages students to dream big and explore possibilities, the Foundation is effectively shaping the aspirations of young India, nurturing the next generation of leaders and innovators and building a more equitable future.
Adani Vidya Mandir, Bhadreshwar (AVMB)
Established in June 2012, AVMB is the second of four free schools operated by the Adani Foundation, serving children from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds, especially the fisherfolk community. Many students are first-generation learners, making the school a critical enabler of education in the region.

Utthan: Nurturing Young Learners
Programme Goal
To improve foundational literacy and numeracy in government primary schools while empowering learners from marginalised communities
Programme Description
Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Adani Foundation’s Utthan project focusses on enhancing learning capabilities in government primary schools through targeted interventions. The programme empowers Priya Vidyarthis (progressive learners) from marginalised backgrounds, catering to their specific learning needs.
Each school is supported by an Utthan Sahayak, a dedicated teacher who plays a pivotal role in strengthening classroom practices and transforming schools into aspirational learning centres. The initiative makes learning engaging, provides essential resources and enhances teachers’ skills.
Extending its impact beyond regular school hours, Utthan also operates Adani Evening Education Centres (AEECs) to support students from underprivileged fishing and farming communities. These centres aim to reduce dropout rates, strengthen self-confidence, and improve academic outcomes at the secondary level. Each centre has a dedicated tutor and subject matter expert for every five students, focussing on Mathematics, English, and Science.

Udaan: Fuelling Aspirations
Programme Goal
To inspire ambition among young learners by providing real-world exposure and opportunities
Programme Description
Inspired by Mr Gautam S. Adani's childhood visit to Kandla Port, Project Udaan is a distinctive learning initiative of the Adani Foundation, designed to inspire young minds to dream big and explore real-world possibilities. Through curated exposure visits to Adani Group’s world-class facilities, ports, power plants, edible oil refineries, solar plants, and airports, students gain immersive experiences into large-scale business operations and can envision their own journeys of growth and success.

Beyond Boundaries: Sakina’s Story of Hope
Residing in the coastal village of Bhadreshwar, Sakina’s life revolved around the sea. Her family depended on fishing for survival, and while her parents encouraged her dreams, limited means could not transform her aspirations into reality. The turning point came when Sakina enrolled at Adani Vidya Mandir, Bhadreshwar, a school dedicated to nurturing potential. Her teachers saw immense resilience and dedication in Sakina.
Later, her father met with a serious accident and was left bedridden. Sakina, the eldest child, shouldered new responsibilities. Education became more than an ambition; it became the key to a better future for her family. She excelled academically and embraced every opportunity - sports, music, and computer skills. She passed her Class 10 examinations with flying colours.
Her journey did not stop there. With continued support from the Adani Foundation and Adani Vidya Mandir, Sakina secured admission to Tolani Polytechnic College, Adipur, pursuing engineering and becoming the first girl from her village to step outside its boundaries for higher education. She remains grateful to the Adani Foundation and Adani Vidya Mandir for turning her aspirations into achievements with constant support and guidance.
