APSEZ has built a strong and competitive marine services business through targeted acquisitions, continuous fleet expansion and entry into high-growth maritime markets. The business provides a comprehensive range of services, including towage, pilotage and offshore support for oil and gas assets as well as offshore wind. A versatile fleet of tugs and offshore support vessels supports ports and offshore installations with high reliability and global service standards.

APSEZ’s marine operations operate through three integrated entities: Ocean Sparkle Ltd. (OSL), TAHID and Astro Offshore. OSL serves the domestic market, while TAHID and Astro Offshore operate in international markets.

Highlights

Ocean Sparkle Ltd. (OSL)

  • Fleet addition: Inducted the Ocean Alliance and Ocean Royal tugs to expand operational capacity
  • New build order: Placed an order with a domestic shipyard for a specialised pollution-control-cum-security patrol vessel
  • Digital integration: Deployed the ‘Sea Flux’ cloud-based platform across tugs, enabling real-time fleet insights and fully paperless fleet operations
  • Utilisation and compliance: Achieved 97% average tug utilisation, supported by enhanced tracking, monitoring and Offshore Vessel Management and Self-Assessment (OVMSA) Level II compliance

Astro Offshore

Astro Offshore, based in Dubai, operates offshore vessels that provide essential marine support to global energy and infrastructure sectors. The company serves offshore energy, subsea, marine construction and offshore logistics segments, supporting safe and reliable operations across the value chain. Its presence across the Middle East, South and Southeast Asia, and Africa reflects a strategy to diversify vessel deployment.

  • Geographic expansion: Entered West Africa for the first time, adding presence in a strategically important offshore market and creating an alternative to traditional Middle Eastern and South Asian markets
  • Fleet capability: Acquired multiple Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs) to strengthen offshore production support, deepen end-user engagement and expand service offerings

TAHID

  • Geographic expansion: Extended operations to Mexico, Senegal, Liberia, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Qatar and Oman across harbour towage, offshore services, LNG operations and port services
  • Offshore milestone: Deployed the first Offshore Support Vessel for projects in Mexico, expanding high-spec offshore capabilities
  • Utilisation: Delivered over 90% vessel utilisation

Dredging

APSEZ delivers comprehensive dredging and reclamation solutions for port and harbour construction. Since 2005, the company has built a robust dredging fleet and, with 64 dredgers, ranks among India’s largest dredging operators. APSEZ is also the largest private player in the capital dredging segment. A diverse fleet supports both capital and maintenance dredging at APSEZ ports and for external clients. The company also provides inland dredging to maintain navigable depths on key inland waterways.
